Marco Colocci is an Italian sound designer, sound engineer, music producer, and composer.

.

In 2016, he began working as a producer and composer at Trumen Records (Alborosie, Caparezza, Clementino, Rocco Hunt, Club Dogo, Salmo). A year later, he was awarded the Carlo U. Rossi Scholarship, dedicated to the legendary producer behind Subsonica, Negrita, Caparezza, Baustelle, and Nina Zilli.

His work spans film, video games, and experimental arts. He has contributed to projects such as Via dell’Ombra (RAI Cinema Award, 2022), La Versione di Jean (Official Selection, X Torino Film Festival, 2020), and The Scar (Manifesta 12, Locarno Film Festival, 2018).

​

In the gaming industry, he has worked as a Sound Effects Designer for Steel Mantis, Stage Clear Studios, and OddBug Studio, contributing to titles such as Valfaris and Tails of Iron.

​

As a composer and sound artist, he creates music for performances, installations, and dance productions. Most recently, he was selected for Island Connect II, a Creative Europe-funded initiative uniting seven performing arts organizations across European islands, following his residency at Aaben Dans (DK).

​

Under the moniker Queimada, he explores the intersection of electroacoustic textures, field recordings, and synthesis, crafting immersive soundscapes. His work has been released on Gin & Platonic and Rest Now!, with collaborations including Taiwanese sound artist Sabiwa (Chinabot).

 

His music has resonated across Europe’s leading electronic festivals, including Sonar, C2C, and CTM, and has been featured on top radio stations worldwide, such as BBC Sounds and NTS Radio.
